This is super smooth and super cool when it starts. Talk about laid back! I assume I'll end up regretting saying this, as no doubt the rest of the album will be mad horns in my face or something “experimental” (read, something I'll hate/not understand) but this opener is over ten minutes long and it could be twice the length and still not long enough. This is just beautiful stuff. Even if the rest of the album sucks for me, this one track will have been worth listening to it for. Some sweet bass work on this near the end too, really stands out, and the percussion is, um, awesome. Just perfect really.

Well, the second track is just as good, though in a different way. Kind of spoken word/rap over some really nice guitar with a sweet solo thrown in for good measure. Lovely female vocal on the fourth track, and I must be honest: there's nothing here I haven't loved so far. Wonderful piano outro with orchestral backing. The rap and the jazz really merge perfectly on “7th October”, and I like the way the music takes over for a while before he comes back in, with perfect timing, just near the end there. Very Santana-style guitar there on “Kyoki” and really a totally enjoyable experience all through the album, which I hadn't expected. Really impressed.

I like what I hear so far. First track is pretty harsh black metal type with some I don't know, maybe post-rock/metal thrown in, second track is a more relaxed, almost ambient piece with a lot of piano. Enjoying everything on this so far, will be marking this guy down as another one to gather up their recordings and get into their music. “Warmth of You” in particular is a real standout, while “Past Lives” is something I would definitely characterise as experimental, maybe even drone? Lovely organ leading the line on “(Something)” and the ambient pieces, long though they are, go by quicker than expected. Really impressed. Nice one!

One more then before we head back to April. Right well, starting with a scream probably isn't the best way to win me over, but let's see how this goes. Not mad at all about the singer, very monotonous voice, shouting, growling rather than singing. Angry, abrasive, raucous – just not my thing. Not terrible, and I've heard worse punk – but not something I enjoyed on any level at all.

Most things that have “experimental” in the title give me a problem, especially electronic music, and I'm surprised to find this is a male artist, given the name, but there you go. It's okay so far but not really anything different I feel. “Cyn” brings in a rap, which is at least something of a change, against the spacey electronic backdrop, but overall I find it all pretty samey, quite boring and uninspiring, but then, someone into electronic and/or experimental music may wet themselves over this. Me? I'm totally dry. Okay, “Faure in Chrome” is quite nice, but that's about it really.

Yet another member of a K-pop band who split for her parent group to try to make it on her own. And yet another EP. Oh, and she's collaborating with a rapper. Hum. It's what you'd expect. I'd ask why she bothered if I cared enough, and I don't. Next!

Quick note: from now on, the question "Check out more of this artist/genre?" should be taken to have a rider, to wit: other than here, if I have to. In other words, the question is now would I check any more out of my own free will, of choice, rather than just being forced to via this thread. Just so you know.
