Hey, what can I say? I'll let a lot slide if there's some good harmonica in there. And as for mandolin, well... just don't get me started.

At least you can (presumably) take comfort in the fact that he wasn't a fan of Genesis...

Even though he's told me to check out Genesis more than ten times, Dream Theater is his ****ty prog band of choice.

I can feel my feet moving the moment this starts, so that's a good sign surely. Second track slays, a swaying bluesy/jazzy ballad with powerful percussion and great brass. Yeah, I'm very impressed here. She has one of those smoky, sultry voices that means she doesn't even have to try; it's just effortless, or at least she makes it seem so. I guess if there's trip-hop (which I'm still not familiar enough with to recognise) it's in “Espejo” - no, it isn't: just changed completely. Only eight tracks on this album, eight too few by far. Need to hear more of this woman's work, with apologies to Kate. MicShaz, can definitely recommend. Get on this now. :thumb:

I recommend you put him out of his misery. There is no hope.

Well this comes punching and kicking right out of the traps, as you'd expect, slavering and panting and hungry for blood. Where's that ****ing raw meat I wanted to lure them away with? Ah ****! They're gaining! Look, I don't know Obituary and Batty will probably say “Oh you should hear their earlier stuff man, this sucks” or somesuch, but this is hard and heavy and ripping my throat out, so I'm good. ****, that riff on “Betrayed” is worth the price of admission on its own. They sure don't sound over a quarter of a century old. Don't go writing their ... no, no. I'm better than that. No I'm not, but I just won't pick that low-hanging fruit, just this once. Don't get used to it.

Check out more from this artist? Yup
Check out more from this genre or subgenre? I don't know; some of it is really terrible but maybe

Haven't listened to it cause Obituary hasn't made me care for years. But if you're gonna care about Obituary then care when the singer still had a voice...

Batty calls it again, and I call on Batty. :thumb:

When you're old, anything to do with death is interesting to you.
