Album title: Packs Artist: Your Old Droog Genre: Hip-Hop Nationality: American Release date: March 10 Position in Discography: Second Fear Factor: High Familiar with this artist? No but have heard of him Familiar with the genre or subgenre? No Average RYM Score: 3.38 Hey this is pretty good. The sort of Middle Eastern-style flute in “Bangladesh” is different and very effective. Really solid stuff so far. “White Rappers” is very catchy, love the melody. “You Can Do It! (Give Up)” is another excellent one. Enjoyed this. Check out more from this artist? Yes Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes Expectation Index: 9

Album title: Guten Morgen Freiheit Artist: Yvonne Catterfeld Genre: Pop Nationality: German Release date: March 10 Position in Discography: Seventh Fear Factor: Moderate Familiar with this artist? No Familiar with the genre or subgenre? A little, yeah Average RYM Score: N/A Well at least I know the title means “Good Morning Fantasy”, but other than that my German is useless, and it's a hard language to listen to as well (with apologies to grindy and any other Germans here), just very harsh on the ears I find. Music is bouncy enough and she seems to have a good voice, which does not thankfully need any help from Autotune. Yeah, I would have to say there's a good mix on this, and pretty much all of it is good. Check out more from this artist? Might but probably unlikely Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes Expectation Index: 4

Album title: Flight Log: Arrival Artist: Got7 Genre: K-Pop Nationality: Korean Release date: March 13 Position in Discography: Sixth Fear Factor: High Familiar with this artist? No Familiar with the genre or subgenre? A little Average RYM Score: N/A Back to K-Pop we go then. I'll give whoever the creative force behind certain bands is credit though: some half-decent ideas. This is the third of three EPs by this boyband, all following it would appear a theme of flight. Interesting, though I don't doubt the music will be as interesting as an in-flight magazine. Let's get it over with, then. Yeah, not much to say. It is funny how they try to use a synthy version of the main guitar riff off “Satisfaction” on “Go Higher”. Ah, bless! They think they're rockers! Sigh. One of these days I'll come across a K-Pop album that's different. That time has not yet come. Check out more from this artist? No Check out more from this genre or subgenre? See next entry Expectation Index: 0

Album title: Love and Evil Artist: Loona Genre: K-Pop Nationality: Korean Release date: March 13 Position in Discography: Debut Fear Factor: High Familiar with this artist? No Familiar with the genre or subgenre? Getting there... Average RYM Score: N/A Well that's different anyway. From a boring boyband to a boring girlband, but their album opens with a really nice symphonic piano piece. Yeah, the girls always seem to put more effort in when it comes to K-Pop. Not that it's great, by any means, but it's better than Got7, not that that would be hard. Check out more from this artist? No Check out more from this genre or subgenre? I'm sure there's plenty more waiting in the wings Expectation Index: 2

Album title: Blkswn Artist: Smino Genre: Hip-Hop/R&B/Neo-Soul/Funk Nationality: American Release date: March 14 Position in Discography: Debut Fear Factor: High Familiar with this artist? No Familiar with the genre or subgenre? No Average RYM Score: 3.24 Oh-oh! Did I see neo-soul in those genre tags? Only two n/s albums I've listened to, and hated both. And now that makes three. No way I'm listening to eighteen tracks of this. Guess I just hate neo-soul, huh? Check out more from this artist? No Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Not neo-soul, if I can avoid it Expectation Index: 0
