Album title: Trophy Artist: Sunny Sweeney Genre: Country Nationality: American Release date: March 10 Position in Discography: Fourth Fear Factor: Moderate Familiar with this artist? No Familiar with the genre or subgenre? A little Average RYM Score: 3.28 Oh man, that just sounds like a made-up name, doesn't it? But no: it's her real name. Okay, my usual worry about this being country pop disappeared as soon as she started singing “Pass the Pain”: now there's a proper country song. And it's just continued in that vein so far. Real honky-tonk stuff; **** Josh Turner: this is the real country music! “I Feel Like Hank Williams Tonight”, “Why People Change”, “Nothing Wrong With Texas” - all top country songs. Think I'm a fan now. Seriously impressed. Check out more from this artist? Oh yes Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes Expectation Index: 10

You don't want to poke the bear on that issue. I think I mentioned that to him once too many times and now I am on his blacklist.

Album title: Heartworms Artist: The Shins Genre: Indie Pop/Indie Rock Nationality: American Release date: March 10 Position in Discography: Fifth Fear Factor: Moderate Familiar with this artist? No but I've heard of them Familiar with the genre or subgenre? No Average RYM Score: 2.92 Not sure if the title is meant to be a play on earworm or on that Carcass album (probably not the latter) but this starts off nicely, very bouncy pop, very listenable and singalong. “Mildenhall” has a sort of country feel, and there are some catchy tracks but I find myself becoming bored with it less than halfway through, and it ends up sounding a little dated and twee. Closer is quite nice though. Check out more from this artist? No Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes Expectation Index: 0

Yeah, give me time. It's only ten days into March at the moment. I'll be doing some soon. There's a lot to get through here. Be patient. Please.

Album title: Yours Conditionally Artist: Tennis Genre: Indie Pop/Indie Rock Nationality: American Release date: March 10 Position in Discography: Fourth Fear Factor: Moderate Familiar with this artist? No Familiar with the genre or subgenre? No Average RYM Score: 3.22 Well the last indie pop/rock album I did – which was the last entry – didn't exactly impress me, so is this going to be any better? Starts off with a kind of Motown soul style thing, very nice. The next two tracks are good too. I like her voice, very almost dream pop. Maybe. If I had a clue what dream pop was. I would have to say though that I'm enjoying this a whole lot better than The Shins. Maybe it's the female vox that sound more cheerful and somehow more meaningful, or maybe it's just better music, but I've liked every track so far, and we're up to the eighth of ten tracks. Yeah that was pretty sweet. Check out more from this artist? Yes Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes Expectation Index: 10
