in high school i was given a pink floyd shirt as a gift and i would wear it ironically just so i could upset people when they asked me if i like the band.

it's not necessarily that they suck because i do actually like some of their stuff, Piper in particular. but i'll be damned if most of their stuff isn't just boring as **** and totally overrated.

Sister and potentially Goo are probably somewhere in my top 20.

Would be better if you just got upset at them for thinking that you like Floyd just because you're wearing one of their shirts and that they should really check their privilege.

Dude, even Confusion Is Sex and Kill Yr Idols? There's a bit of a drop off between those and their other albums, but those two are fantabulous.

I don't even really like Piper, aside from "Astronomy Domine" and maybe a couple other songs. But that's a pretty ****ing good song tbh.

They're too boring for a noise rock band.

I don't listen to them as noise rock though. They just sound like a pretentious-but-awesome rock band with a knack for creating weird textures (at least early on).

Thurston Moore does have some crazy good guitar tone from time to time ja, but they lack that necessary energy.

Even if you don't care about anything else they've ever done, this is still one of the gnarliest songs ever and puts the Stooges' version to shame. Kim Gordon also shows that she could have been a top 10 hardcore vocalist.
