Tony Iommi was almost the guitarist for Jethro Tull, which would have meant no Black Sabbath.

Ian Anderson auditioned Tony Iommi but ended up hiring Martin Barre after Mick Abrahams left Tull.

*edit: TI played with Tull for a couple weeks before IA hired MB
