the Strokes are brilliant, they just do good tunes. The 'saviours (**** you spellcheck it has a 'u' in it) of rock' press buzz thing died down after their first album I thought, because it saved rock
i remember reading about tickets for their first London gig changing hands for upwards of £300, before they even played a note overseas |

I don't mind a couple of the Strokes singles.
I hate them more for what they are than what they do.

it depends how you define rock I guess. If rock is like the force, flowing through all of us and everything around, then the nu-metal era was definitely a disturbance. I mean there was actually a time when Limp Bizkit's 'Rollin' was selling records. How quaint!
