MB's Album of the Month

Thought this might be an idea. Each month members can submit an album or albums for others to listen to, and each month everyone can pick their favourite, which will be their album of the month. Nobody's under any compliment to listen to all albums submitted (though you can of course if you want to) and nobody need write anything, unless you want to. Just vote for your album of the month and at the end of the month I'll total them up and the one with the most votes will be proclaimed that month's winner.

Albums must be new, ie released this year, though they do not have to be released in the month for which they are submitted. Once an album has been submitted it cannot be resubmitted for any more months, by the member who suggested it or anyone else. For the sake of sanity, albums may be submitted up to let's say the last week of each month, to give anyone who wishes to time to listen to them before the close of the month, when the album of the month will be announced.

You can hype the hell out of your choices, though that doesn't mean everyone will listen to them, and of course all albums must be available via the usual sources. You may of course only choose one album for nomination, though you can change it as the month progresses. In other words, if you choose one album as your album of the month and later another one comes along, during that month, that you like more, you can change it, but by the end of the month you have to have made a clear choice and only that one will be counted.

If this catches on maybe we'll end up facing off all the month albums at the end of the year to get an album of the year. Maybe not. Submissions will begin on the first day of the month, though as we're near the end of June you can start dropping albums for July now if you want. Write why you think it's good, or just pop it in the queue, doesn't matter. As an album impresses you maybe give it a quick rating so we know how it's doing, or even select it as your album of the month, and I'll update the OP accordingly.
