Late 90s/early 2000s adult contemporary type stuff. (I was crazy about Natalie Merchant for a brief time as a teenager and it always made me, a demonic 14 year old, feel like I was a bored late-30-something divorcee who was just trying to hold it together during her evening pottery class, or something.)

And of course indie folk/indie rock.
