Sucks that so many people actually like catchy, well crafted songs, with crunchy guitars, aggressive drumming, and a band that actually enjoys themselves on stage - and puts on fun shows that harken back to the golden age of 70s arena rock.

And that so many of them are the same age as a lot of you people here who are currently dissing them.

Comebacks in 5... 4... 3... 2...

* Just cause it's popular doesn't make it good.
* I'd rather follow my own muse than be derivative.
* Typical dad rock loving Chula drivel.
* My musical integrity is more important than pandering to the masses.

And on and on and on........

It really does suck because it means that I'm exposed to Foo Fighters when someone puts on rock radio. Imagine if Wolves in Sheepskin ruled the radio? What that would be like for you, Foo Fighters is for me. Put some ointment on your ass to cool the hurt.

I'm not the one hurting. You are the one that hates (and is envious of) Dave Grohl, and The Foo Fighters' success.

I'm going to listen to the Bob Mould and Josh Homme inspired Wasting Light now. Later tater.

If you didn't take my Dave Grohl hate personally, you wouldn't have relied on a bandwagon argument to defend your taste. Honestly you of all people should be critical of them too, because they played a large role in laying the groundwork for the mediocre and lackluster mainstream rock scene that we have today when it used to be so much more exciting. Rock bands can't be creative and as successful as Foo Fighters because record companies won't put capital on something that isn't safe.

Unless you think it's still thriving or something, in which case it might be time for your meds.

Robert Plant is rolling in his grave.

So you like them because of their Led Zeppelin/'70s appropriation and not their originality?

At least Foo Fighters didn't try to pretend they could make folk and/or blues rock. Unless they did. In which case **** them too probably.
