Yeah, though I always thought it was some buried trauma about his mum that made him so self-effacingly devoted to Yoko. After all, he stayed sharp and articulate about other stuff - he didn't sound like some drug casualty to me...

Yoko is to experimental music as the KKK is to conservatism as regressives are to liberalism as ketchup is to condiments.

What are Yoko's musical credentials anyway? Is/was it just being married to a Beatle? Is she the Sharon Osbourne of that time? Never quite understood that.

She has none. That's why elph likes her.

And we can't talk about Dave Grohl without this.

Where does playing Carnegie Hall rank on your credentials matrix?

I was asking, not saying. Did you not see the question mark? I know/knew nothing about her having played Carnegie Hall and I know nothing about her music which is, again, why I asked. My point is, what does she do? Does she sing, play guitar, piano, what? Does she compose music?

I knew it was a question.

She does extended voice technique (and gives a shot name to the great style and pisses me off and stuff) and composes.

Huh? I don't understand what that means.

Yes, she's written and sung some albums, although on one of them :-

Quote:
According to Ono, the recording engineers were in the habit of turning off the recording equipment when she began to perform-- which is why, at the end of "Why", Lennon can be heard asking "Were you gettin' that?".
Also, isn't she famously to be seen on a Beatles recording, sitting on the stage and knitting ? So that must be a credential too, right?
