There are certainly Latin influences, mostly Brazilian music, but I don't hear much Caribbean influence in there, except maybe Salsa, which is only partly a Caribbean style of music.

Did you listen to song I posted though?

I don't really care about Metallica at all anymore, but when I did, I still considered Death Magnetic to be a monumental pile of horse manure.

It really has almost no charisma whatsoever.

Yeah it was alright. Next time I'm hanging out with the guy I'll try it out again.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

David Lee Roth - Skyscraper

I remember when this came out, I was mildly entertained only for the fact that Steve Vai's (Billy's too) wankery was all over it, but after revisiting and having sat through a couple songs recently I'm laughing at myself for even pressing play. Even Steve's trem bending 'look at me' guitar attacks seem a little over the top and cringey at times. There are a couple of foot tappers but for the most part, this album is pretty laughable.

I submit to you: Exhibit A

Quote:
I can hear the sound
Of the North Star calling
Put your high beams on (stay on my wing)
I'm falling (falling, falling, falling)

And spinning and turning (and spinning and turning)
This is ultra-glide
The beginnings of great things
Cannot be seen by your naked eye

Crack the skies like lightning
Mama's little sonic boom
Is simply frightening
I'm a skyscraper

Float like a butterfly
Acrobatic
Sting like a B-52
Dramatic
And a radar, a radar locks on you
No static

Can I reach it now?
I'm not up here often
God only knows
And He ain't talkin'
Skyscraper

Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
Oh, oh, oh
