I love Creep, Wonderwall, and Bohemian Rhapsody, so poor me <.<

Besides Paranoid, I also nominate Iron Man for Black Sabbath. It's ok, but they have so many better songs, even on the same album.

Also

Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple
More Than a Feeling - Boston

Not their worst songs, but pretty bad ones that are the only songs in their discography that see the light of day on radio stations (and few stations play them, at that).

What's all the hate for Wonderwall for? Yeah it's overplayed, but it's by no means a BAD song.

Anyways, I can't believe no one has mentioned Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2...

For that reason, I can't nominate Satisfaction or Rock The Casbah or Hey Jude or even Sounds Of Silence.
Mmm, I'd agree there - there are a fair few 'most popular songs' that are mediocre on the scale of things, but very few that are their worst.

Though I still think Rock the Casbah is one of the best Clash songs. I think a better candidate would be Should I Stay or Should I Go... I never understood everyone's fascination with that song when the majority of the songs on London Calling are better. Still, it's not a bad song and there's much worse in their discography too, mainly from that unmentionable 1985 album of theirs.

And I still think Sounds of Silence and the Boxer are some of the best S&G songs. Though I will say that they're sadly overlooked - I don't think many people realise just how good they were, and that they stretched far beyond their singles.

Actually, I hated Wonderwall long before I knew it was considered a good song, or even that it was overplayed. It kept me from checking out WTSMG for a long time.

Even excluding Cut The Crap, there's enough junk on Give 'Em Enough Rope and London Calling that I wouldn't be able to call Casbah (or the almost-as-bad SISOSIG) the worst Clash song.

i think David Bowie's 'Let's Dance' deserves a mention (even if it's bands we're talking about). I've just never really liked it. Not his worst by a long shot (which I know is the point of the thread) but as we all know he's done much, much better

For someone who claims to be such a Smiths fan Noel Gallagher writes some pretty emotionally devoid songs, Wonderwall being one of them. Though I do enjoy playing it on guitar, it really gets the girls attention.

Oh I definitely agree! I love Bowie but to be honest that song desperately annoys me.
