Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy - Mindless Self Indulgence
This one crashed and burned shortly after takeoff for me. I barely made it 6 minutes in and I started fast-forwarding through tracks, trying to find any redeeming musical qualities in this album. Take the worst aspects of rap, funk, metal and techno... put them in a blender... add lots of dumb, juvenile lyrics... toss in a bunch of annoying video game sounds... hook a microphone up to the whole disgusting mess... turn the amp up... turn the blender on... Every time I heard a promising funk riff, it was completely ruined almost immediately by an onslaught of audio diarrhea. It was as if the band occasionally stumbled onto a good riff by accident, didn't have any idea how to develop it or what to do with it, and just abandoned it to fall back on their ****ty, juvenile, nu-metal sound. I couldn't make it through a single, complete song beyond the first 6 minutes of this audio drek. 1/10
