BREAKING NEWS: I'M AT A DINER.
So far I've heard "I Want a New Drug", "Hold the Line" by Toto, and "All Night Long" by Lionel Ritchie. Still better than country.

True, but if you recall, I said he was possibly the most overrated jazz musician. That is definitely determined by the music world's reception of the artist (I saw a lot of that **** outside of those two articles I posted too). That's where the term "saviour" came in.

The key here is that I don't give a sh*t how people rate Washington. I think he's a fantastic musician and put out a really stellar album. Not a God. He's a musician. If he came out and said that he's the jazz savior, then we'll talk. |

I thought it was a decent record that was in over its head 75% of the time but had some great moments despite that fact. Combine that with people shoving it down my throat as the next landmark in jazz and that **** can get a little obnoxious.

It's already been out for two years and I have an extensive vocabulary with the genre so it's not like I'm writing it off for being spiritual jazz or anything. I'll probably throw it on again for ****s and giggles every once in a while but I can pretty firmly say that it's a 6/10 record.
