What is the size limit anyway? I'm not crazy about overlarge images either and I want to have an idea for when I post my own pictures.

It's not really a case of size limit, but your picture should be visible without people having to scroll right or down. In essence, if it takes up so much of the screen that you can't see it all at once, it's too damn big. Batty and OH do this (well OH used to do it and then considerately stopped) in their journals, and it makes reading things difficult. If I find a pic and it's too large, I look for another, smaller version I can use. If it happens to be the only one available, I either spoiler it or save it and resize and then reupload it. Check when you're posting a pic; if it looks ok to you then it should be ok for the forum. If not (if, for instance, suddenly you can only see half the text below it without scrolling right) it's too big and you should reconsider.

This is one of those times when size really does matter, but in reverse.

Also. **** off Ori. Didn't I warn you I'd set the dogs on you if you showed your face around here again? And take your oversize Lizard King with you!

Well, in my journal I'm limiting my albums to about 500x500, 600x600 at the most. My bigger concern is with the intro pictures. Yeah, I do preview them before I post them, mainly because I don't want them to take away from the intent of the journal, I want them to add to it, you know? . Thanks, Trolls.

And Ori, did Jim Morrison actually eat lizards?

Same. I keep them all uniform size as much as possible, but I think album covers are 600x600. In my comic journal I think width-wise I top out at 800, but I don't really want the pic to be too small, so if you don't like it then eat a dick. It's fine on my ****ing laptop, so unless you have some 90s Apple computer it shouldn't be a problem.

I use 400 x 400 pixels in my journal cause it's the closest size to an embedded YouTube videos rounded off the the nearest hundred. I think it makes it look more presentable having the album cover jpeg and video close in size. It isn't always easy to find an album that size, most album jpegs are much larger. I try to stick to 400 for conintuity in my journals however on the boards I just use what is available. I haven't set a standard for the band photo below the headers. I try to keep it compatible in length to other standardize things, in most cases somewhere between 250 pixels for avatars and around 400+ for embedded YT videos, lengthwise.

I think I'll go with this for the next round. Pepe Deluxe - Queen Of The Wave.
