concert dvds
i borrowed a bunch of dvd's from my friend, it's interesting to see some concerts of groups you're probobly not likely to see....
so far i saw jet-live in London...man, they're so bland, the only good song they have is are you gonna be my girl and it was the only song that got the crowd moving a bit...and they're in desperate need of a good scrub down, they look like they haven't bathed in a while... neil young-red rocks live....the man plays very good music when he doesn't venture into blues or pure rock, he should stick to americana....good dvd

I've been watching the only "Old Grey Whistle Test" DVD released in the US. It has the funniest live performance of "Frankenstein" by The Edgar Winter Group I'll ever see in my life. It shouldn't be funny but it is, all of the guys in the group look/act like they have a birth defect or a chemical imbalance. For instance: the guitarist looks like he has Downs syndrome, the drummer just looks/acts plain mental, the bassist seems to have adhd because he is WAAAY too excited about playing single notes, and of course, good old Edgar Winter is an Albino, and he keeps switching instruments every 5 seconds. The song lasts for about 10 minutes, and you think the song will end about 8 times, but it doesn't. It rocks hard!
Also, Baby Snakes by Frank Zappa is some great concert footage.

Well over here, we get very few International Live Acts, so basically Concert DVD's are my only hope.
I have: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Live At Slain Pearl Jam - Touring Band 2000 Metallica - S&M {Yeah I know} And a whole lot of others that got stolen when I was robbed, but they left my CD collection so Fuck it. |

i watched one a long while ago at a friend's house. he was an obsessed fan of Led Zeppelin. So thats what we watched. i dont know what the dvd was called but it was awesome. john bonham was goin nuts on the drums playing these fantastic solos. he was banging on them so long and hard, i guess the screws came loose on the drum-set.
