Just do what DJ said and listen to the mixtape.. There is a link in this thread for it, it was way better than the original soundtrack i listened to.

It's not meant to be funny like ERB, and it's not entertaining without the visuals that go along with it. I'm not a fan of musicals, but I think if I had a performance to watch along with the OST it would have been much better. The mixtape sounds a lot more like regular music than a musical.

I'm not a fan of musicals either, and the Hamilton original cast recording didn't click with me right off the bat, but slowly I found myself getting really into it—first just one song, then a few songs, then most of it, then all of it. It's the ultimate grower album for me, and once it clicks, you start to see how brilliantly all the music hangs together, how great the lyrics are, how great the story is, and just how heartbreakingly emotional and human it all is at its core.

Fair enough. I guess I'll have to go back and give it another shot at some point. Maybe I'll try listening to it in short bursts on my drive to class. Thanks Jans :)

Bell Biv DeVoe - Three Stripes (2017)
#BBDin2017... Not gonna lie, this was pretty dope. Boyz II Men and Dougie Fresh features plus a Biggie - Hypnotize sample.. Yes, please.

Maximo Park - Too Much Information (2015)
Electronic alternative, I guess? idk. I first heard this group working at the Gap 5+ years ago and I'm finally getting around to listening to an album. I really liked it, think I'm gonna go down the related artists rabbit hole now.

August Burns Red - Found In Far Away Places (2015)
It's been a while, but I can still understand what they are saying for the most part! Not that it matters cause I listen to this stuff more for the music. This was a pretty sweet album. Idk which one of the 50 billion metal genres Batlord would throw this in so I'll just call it metalcore/screamo to give ya'll a ballpark of what to expect if you do check it out.

Yeah that's metalcore. I can give you way better bands than August Burns Red though. They're one of those bands that fans of ****ty metalcore talk about to prove that they don't have ****ty taste, but they're still pretty mediocre. Here.

Thanks Edgelord.. I'll give it a go some time.

The Batlord 02-01-2017 03:17 PM

No you won't.

DwnWthVwls 02-01-2017 03:25 PM

Well now I won't, but I would have.

The Batlord 02-01-2017 03:41 PM

But seriously, Dead Man Walking is one of the best metal albums ever, so listen to it cause it beats all the asses.

Let's try this again...
