Saw this mentioned in the hiphop forums and had to check it out. It was okay. I gotta give them credit for staying true to that Wu sound, even in 2014, but they just aren't the same anymore.

Lianne La Havas - Blood (2015)
Nice pop soul/funk sound.. quite enjoyable. She has this subtle rasp when she hits higher notes and I love it.

good album. she was always the one tolerable artist in the playlist at work.

Where do you work?

nowhere atm but it was at wal-mart. i think they had a store-wide playlist that was used at all of our location. it would only change every 2-3 months so usually the songs would become pretty tiresome near the end.

Sun Kil Moon | Common As Light & Love Are Red Valleys of Blood

I listened to all 2 hours of this glorious record today and my fucking God, this guy has never disappointed me, going all the way back to Red House Painters. This album once and for all solidifies him being my favorite singer/songwriter. Finally putting it to rest.

A rabbit hole of related artists, lol.. I don't remember where I started, but this came from John Cage relations. Of the three parts, I liked the four sections(?) of Mothertongue the best. The use of the vocals was something I've never heard before.

Whatever this threads lame anyways I'm outta here.
