Exactly.

Btw what are your opinions on Unknown Pleasures if you haven't already seen the other posts I've made about it recently.

like seriously the kind of thing that belongs in the Museum of Modern Art or whatever

Tell me, what do these tracks have in common?

Disorder
Day of the Lord
Shadowplay
Wilderness

They're the only tracks on the album that don't suck and bore me to tears.
In fact, these tracks are quite good. But I've tried and tried, and the rest just doesn't hold up IMO. Sorry 'bout it.

And New Dawn Fades? Probably the moving moving guitar riff on the album

Album has that slow burn intensity where every time that 4:4 slow snare hits it feels 10X heavier, death by relentless snare

I like Interzone too but those four tracks are just too damn good to even consider it as one of the album's highlights.

I feel with the snare thing tho.

Did music ever get more brooding than She's Lost Control sometimes I want to say Joy Division are Alpha and Omega of Goth

Okay I admit that only really Candidate, Insight, and I Remember Nothing are the only real tracks that bore me to tears but they along kill the album for me.

Most of the artists/albums in this thread I have never listened to prior to posting or have very limited knowledge of.. Aphex twin falls in the latter.
