All About Eve. Nearly a perfect debut, and they never even got close afterwards.
Deacon Blue: Raintown. Even though most of their bigger hits came off When the World Knows Your Name I think the debut is a far tighter and well written album.

Bleach or Nevermind? Some people still consider Nevermind their debut album.

I guess those who didn't notice Bleach until Nevermind, which was half the world or maybe even millions more back then. Of course now you have Wikipedia telling you that it was their debut album, but it didn't exited back then, hence the contentious nature of what's Nirvana's debut album. It's a honest question. I am not being cheeky or anything. It's pretty well explained in the Wikipedia article.

A lot of these are arguable and just personal preference. Dimmu Borgir, Agalloch, Every Time I Die, Primus, Suicidal Tendencies, Slipknot, Tomahawk, Isis, Venom, Satyricon, Shpongle... and whatever for now
