Okay, it's seldom I have to run to catch up with Batty when it comes to album reviews, but he's already one ahead of me, so let's go right on with the next one, which I believe I've already heard once. Don't recall being that impressed.
Key – Pg. Lost – 2012 The most interesting thing to me about this band, other than Ki's worship of them, has been what their name means. Is it a shortened version of “page lost”? And if not, then just what the hell does it mean? Still, they're another post-rock outfit, so who knows what their thinking is when it comes to choosing a band name? The music? Well... 1. Spirits stampede: I'm not quite sure why so many post-rock bands seem to think a slow, fade-in start is best, but a lot of them favour this approach. Given that, once the tune has started it has some nice punchy guitar in it. Unfortunately it kind of doesn't go anywhere. There's a nice general melody in it, but I can't really say much more than that. It is, however, much more interesting and cohesive than Explosions in Ki's Pants, sorry, the Sky... 2. Vultures: Meh. It's hard to even come up with stuff to write about this. I'm sort of hearing it in the background as I do other things. Are we still on this track? No, look at that: we've moved on to the next one, and I hadn't even noticed. That's not good. 3. Terrain: God I'm so bored. Ok, this rocks a little, but I still don't care. 4. Sheaves: I guess this is their version of being heavy. Fail. 5. I am a destroyer: I must concur with his Batness. No, no you are not. Unless you count destroying my ability to enjoy music of this type. Then, and only in that case, you are, indeed, a destroyer. 6. Gathering: Okay, this one is nice. More restrained, not as all over the place as the rest of the album up to this. Quite like this one. Well, I did till they started trying to toughen it up near the end. Ruined it. Still, best of the bunch so far, although that's not saying much. 7. Weaver: Not bad but like much of this album I just could not care less. Pg. lost? More like interest lost! Sorry man, there was just so little there to grab me, and second time around is no better than first. Batty's verdict: pretentious **** Trollheart's verdict: Boring and much the same through. Another solid Meh.

This is turning into a hatchet job alliance. If anyone else wants to **** on Ki's music then feel free to join us.

It's true. I was just about to write the same thing: this isn't working. I was supposed to be supporting Ki's music but I'm just agreeing with Batty, albeit in a slightly more detailed way. Ah well... on to the next one! Which is it Batty? Maybe I can get a jump on you...

Perhaps it might be an idea to merge these two threads? I don't know; they just seem to be serving the same sort of idea now, perhaps if it was a joint, um, dissection of Ki's music? Maybe. Or we can leave them as they are. It just seems a little, superfluous?
