Default The Crap Heap: MB's Most Hated Albums

Borrowing rather heavily from "Albums you're not digging", my own original "Love or Hate?" thread and a few other things, and with a nod to Pet Sounds (the ex-member, not the album) the idea here is to post an album you absolutely loathe and hate can find no redeeming feature in, and never expect to change your mind. Tell us why you hate it, and others can then agree or disagree, either just by saying "Yeah I hate it too" or "Ah eet's no' so bad!" or variations of those, or by writing a long diatribe in support/defence of the album.

Eventually, everyone votes Yay or Nay, and the more Nays (Hates) it gets the closer the album gets to the Crap Heap (TM), where it will fester for all time, destined never to be listened to and occupying one slot in our list of albums most of us hate. If you love it, and want to save it, get your mates to support you. The better a defence you make for the album the more votes you'll be allotted, so that an album might get 17 hate votes but then someone might come along who is really passionate about it and achieves a vote of 10 or more just for themselves, thereby getting closer to a stay of execution for the album as it were. Once a gap of ten points or more has been opened between Yay and Nay on any album, and with a given "grace period" for anyone who wishes to save it to do so, the determination will be made and it will either be saved or lost.

The determination of how many votes any impassioned plea gets is up to me, and me alone, as OP of this thread. Do not test my mighty powers or ye shall be smitten, and it will really hurt! (Batty, I'm not looking at you, but I am)... Oh, and butthurtfulness is to be expected, so no whining. If you're not man (or woman, or would-rather-not-say) enough to hate or take hate, **** off to some other thread.

So I'll get the ball rolling with my alltime most hated album, no surprise to anyone, but who will save it, or who will agree with me that this record needs to be tossed onto the Crap Heap (TM)?

Venereology - Merzbow (1999)

Yep, it's that nightmarish introduction to, and never to be listened to again, the madman that is Merzbow which was foisted on me through the "Love or Hate"? thread, and which still gives me, well, not nightmares, but bloody great headaches. I mean, come on! It's literally just noise! How can anyone discern music or melody within that cacophony of sound? I know some of you can, but I can't. But you all know my feelings about this, so who's with me, and who wants to rush to the noisy Japanese bastard's defence?

Frownland, over to you...

Lou Reed - Metal Machine Music

A musical genius decides to forget everything that made him great and instead force out an hour of trash that some people defend to no end for being heavily "textured" or some nonsense

Falling in Reverse - Fashionably Late
(Emo-Pop/Melodic Metalcore/Electropop/Crunkcore/Pop Rap/Trancecore/Deathstep)

Cliché choice, I know, but this is quite without a doubt one of the worst things ever recorded in a studio. It's outright misogyny would make Eminem blush (and at that same camp would give further proof to Slim being the better of the white rappers, seriously guys Ronnie Radke is so cringey in every aspect), it's sloppy relays into metalcore challenge that of Design the Skyline, it's overly dramatic falsettos would make Max Bemis wince in pain, and the mish mash of electronic pop influences make every music producer cringe.

This has no redeemable qualities. I'll also remind you that this is the album that I broke Goofle with in the Torture Chamber thread when he claimed he could hate no album. It's just that bad. Would not recommend except to Trollheart.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I listened to Metal Machine Music as you know, and I was quite surprised by how good it was. So I obviously vote YAY on that.

That would be Yay - 1
Nay - 1

All the pretentious dumbasses on here are going to make YD the minority, cause we're the ones that are missing something.

Yay - 2
Nay - 1

Can we agree that the member here most pretentious about their own music is Blank? I mean he mentions SOA on just about every other post and seemingly expects everyone to know his material front and back, using his acronym even with new members. Smh.

(still love you though )

I don't feel passionately toward this album, but it's gloriously intense and the vocals are sick as ****.

Yay - 1
Nay - 1
