Default Periods where you don't really enjoy much music?

Does anyone ever go through periods of time where almost everything new you try to listen to just feels "meh" and you can't really enjoy sitting down listening to music? It's really bizarre and I'm not sure why it happens. Usually the only way to "break" it is when I find an album that clicks really hard and then suddenly things go back to normal overall. I guess another way of explaining it is even albums I'd give like a 7.5/10 to don't do anything for me for a while until I find a 9+/10 and then I'm back to enjoying the other stuff again

I go through this. I wouldn't say it's an amazing album that brings me out. It just kind of happens from too much music and I need a break from it. Something that happens here and there.

It's not really a too much music kind of thing, I haven't been listening much lately and really just spent all my normal listening time working on The Blinding instead. Maybe I burn out music that's not mine when I work too much on mine

Usually when Frownland plays one of his songs in plug.

Happens to me too. It just makes everything else sound lame by comparison.

Definitely yeah to the OP. I go through phases where all I listen to is podcasts and have pretty much no interest in music.
