If you go to RYM, look up the most "esoteric" singles on the custom chart, that should help. And I usally get notifications for new music on Reverbnation.

Here's an idea: Instead of trying to find new stuff you haven't heard yet, start trying some old stuff you've never listened to before.

RYM is a great place. Look up artists you like, find their genre, then look at a custom chart for that genre.
last.fm is also good. Look up artists you like, then check similar artists. Most of the time it's just other projects of people in the band, but still worth checking out.
