I'm really ****ing hungover at work today so I thought I'd kickstart a thread on good hangover music and maybe even open up a discussion about what makes good hangover music.

I think this one's very soothing.

If i'm hungover, Sigur Ros's Takk... or Valtari gets a lot of play. I Hear Sirens's Beyond The Sea, Beneath The Sky is also a good one.

In my opinion, what makes good hangover music is the same as what helps you relax. Post-rock for me is something I'd listen to if I want to get my mind off some things and just zone out, so the same can be said for when i'm hungover.

I didn't know that that was part of the criteria. Ok then.

I'm not necessarily hung right now - burned out tho so very very tired - but this album does the trick for me:

I like my hangover music to be 10-ply. Nothing harsh or jarring here, but it's perfect.

The few times I've been hung over I found that absolutely no noise and a nap helps.

What genre does that fall under? I've never heard of it.

Whatever you file 4'33 under as well.
