Last Song That Moved You To Tears
I may have already done this in my time here - but it happened again today so I figured time for a kick-start.
YES - To Be Over. 40 years later this song still slays me to the core for tons of reasons. |
Two songs made me cry recently:
& |
I know a Maiden song ("The Trooper") and maybe the odd other song has done this, but the last band, and last song to make me cry was Hammerfall's "Way of the Warrior". They're cheesy as all ****, but their dedication to metal reminds me of the way I felt about metal and therefore music as a kid, which felt pure in a way that I will never feel again, and so... well **** the details, Hammerfall make me cry. It's all about love for music I guess.
Not at all being ironic BTW. This band and this song bring moisture to my eyes. |
^That's actually really good.
|
This is embarrassing but B52s Roam came on the radio the other day when I was driving, and it completely messed me up. I don't generally find pop moving, but there's something about the vocal performance on that song.
|
^"Roam" is an amazing song. Gonna go listen to it right now. Haven't heard it in years!
|
Conscience of Archive, it is very simple but each time I hear it I am filled with emotions.
|
The only one that comes to mind is 'You've Got A Friend'. That was one of my best pals favorite songs, unfortunately, he passed away a few months back and he specifically told us that he wanted that song to play at his funeral.
|
All really great stuff. We don't know why it happens - it just happens.
Here's the Yes tune for anyone interested. |
"How to Disappear Completely" by Radiohead always shakes me up a bit. I listened to that album on 9/11. It kind of brings me back there.
