Why? It's one of the most informative music sites anywhere on the web, great for reviews, searching through bands entire discographies, similar artists, I use it regularly and very much appreciate it's database for what they have,

Yeah but you can just use RYM instead and not have to switch sites when you want to look at something besides metal. I used to use Metal Archives a lot, but probably when I started getting into metalcore heavily I dropped it for RYM, cause there are almost no metalcore bands allowed on Metal Archives.
