I never cared about disagreeing with someone's political lyrics when the music is great.

Not punk, but the best example that comes to mind for me personally (ftr I'm very pro GMO).

Not in the lyrics and interviews I've come across, they seem to be preaching far beyond the Danish model.

If your going to be constantly negative and critical about your own government system than you should have a realistic alternative. I have read enough Noam Chomsky and Naomi Klein in my lifetime to know that their economic models would wreak havoc on the western world.

So when I hear them, or a band influenced by them preaching the evils of American imperialism and corporate neo liberalism, it falls on deaf ears for me, even if I agree with many of their points, because I know their solutions are far more kookier than Reaganomics.

But criticizing the disastrous form of vulture capitalism the US practices which is entirely based upon the exploitation of others is not some form of Utopian behavior
No it's just annoying and I don't care.

I want to type more, I'm a political science major, but this is a music forum and nobody wants to scroll through an essay
Oh good a political science major, that means your profs have you well versed in Marxism 501, and you will be flipping hamburgers in 5 years.

We live in a democratic state that foundations rest on the rule of law going back to the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights. Human exploitation has been going on long before the advent of capitalism, so excuse me if I'm skeptical on wanting to trade the evils of capitalism off for the anarcho syndicalism Chomsky and Klein have advocate for.

Yawn. You're not acting very punk rock bro.

Are economics classes that teach supply and demand right wing indoctrination?

Punk rock isn't politically uniform, but yes I have become an establishment hack; owning assets and having a retirement plan will do that to you.

If you want to argue against supply and demand be my guest, but going back to my original point, if a someone is preaching dip$hit politics, it's a turn off, and ruins the music for me.

Even if the music is amazing? You're no fun.

Sister Ray has the stupidest lyrics I've ever heard in my life and it's one of the VU's best.
