If we do Jazz, as a whole it's too vast, and let's not get bogged down with sub-sub-genres. (imo) We should go with decades, or perhaps a year, for instance 1959.

NO.
I agree with bebop. I'd like that. That would, of course, include post-bop and hard bop, but people don't have to include that in their votes if they want. Anyone could vote purely for bebop if they feel that the subgenres aren't as important to the scene as the original style. I know I'm going to look solely for regular bebop albums.
