I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

If we do Jazz, as a whole it's too vast, and let's not get bogged down with sub-sub-genres. (imo) We should go with decades, or perhaps a year, for instance 1959.

NO.

I agree with bebop. I'd like that. That would, of course, include post-bop and hard bop, but people don't have to include that in their votes if they want. Anyone could vote purely for bebop if they feel that the subgenres aren't as important to the scene as the original style. I know I'm going to look solely for regular bebop albums.

Voting ends on Friday. How has no one chosen Exuma or Tim Buckley or Nico? And for all the eligible votes we have one for each except Sun City Girls!

Amps for Christ: 1
Animal Collective: 1
Big Blood: 1
Comus: 1
Daniel Johnston: 1
David Thomas Broughton: 1
Devandra Banhart: 1
Godz: 1
Jandek: 1
Microphones: 1
Mij: 1
Spirogyra: 1
Sun City Girls: 2
Syd Barrett: 1
Vashti Bunyan: 1

Anyway, my vote is Exuma, Nico, Comus, and Tim Buckley.

I changed my vote from Banhart to Tim Buckley a while back. There's too much hurr durring about genres for me to go back and find it, but ja.

I asked Frownland about their eligibility, but he didn't get back to me. At this point it's no big deal. As of now, everyone is tied at second place with one vote apeice.
