Looking at the rym charts a bit to refresh my memory and I think this ones going to be really ****ing hard for me.
|
I'm listening to as much as possible. I've been considering a folk marathon for a while, and I think this is a good way to force myself into it instead of listening to whatever I feel like. I love folk, but I think I need to further educate myself. Taking the avant-folk label into account, I think Comus, Nico, Tim Buckley, Animal Collective and all these others would be great listens.
https://rateyourmusic.com/customchar...one&countries= I'm a little surprised to see Jim O'Rourke there. I only know him for his jazxz, but I definietly wouldn't put it past him to diversify. OK, top four we be revealed tomorrow. |

... and in case you lost my nominations for Nu Metal among the pages and pages of dialog, here:
edot: I am not sure if the list is 100% Nu Metal, at this point I really just don't care. |
Let's do free folk after freak folk (cause seriously, free folk kicks ass).
|
I don't want to do two genres of the same area in a row. And yes, we'll do alternative rock at some point. There isn't one we won't be able tl handle (except junkanoo since almost nobody does that last I checked).

I'm always on junk.

Well, the Big 4 of Nu-Metal has been decided!
1. System of a Down - 6 votes http://s3.amazonaws.com/rapgenius/System-of-a-Down.jpg 2. Deftones - 5 http://static.spin.com/files/2016/04...es-640x426.jpg 3. KoRn - 4 votes http://loudwire.com/files/2014/11/Ko...x420.jpg?w=630 4. Linkin' Park - 4 votes http://loudwire.com/files/2013/02/Linkin-Park.jpg I think most of us, if not all knew this would be the big 4. There are so little essential nu metal bands for thios. However, most of these bands were chosen because they showed better musdical quality and understanding, so it didn't go without waste. |
Next Round starts now: Freak Folk.
