What I'm trying to get Nea to see, is that when he responds to you he feeds your ability to troll. His responses to it are only feeding it and in no way helping the cause he wants to end so badly.

Actually no. I wouldn't have even known he was in plug if someone hadn't pointed it out. He literally joined, said nothing to anybody, bumped me from the queue, and then left, all in the course of about 10 seconds.

The term Krautrock is widely and freely used in Germany and I've never had the slightest indication that anyone is offended by it. Kraut also basically means 'weed' in German, which many people think is quite fitting for the genre.

I would vote but I don't really listen to Krautrock. I'm going to sample a few bands and choose from that selection.

The term "krauts" may be regarded as "light-hearted" by advertising watchdogs, but Germans said today that they find it offensive.

The Advertising Standards Authority this morning rejected complaints that the term was racist when used in a promotional leaflet timed to coincide with last month's crunch Germany-England World Cup qualifier.

The pamphlet from Manchester-based firm Dronco Abrasives featured a picture of soccer action and read: "The Krauts are coming ... with unbeatable quality," a reference to their German parent company.

The company said it believed krauts was a "humorous reference to German's alleged high consumption of Sauerkraut" and had no negative meaning, although it did agree to remove the word from future adverts.

In its ruling today, the ASA said the word krauts did portray German's negatively, but ruled it would be "generally understood as a light-hearted reference to a national stereotype and was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence".

But staff at the German Embassy in London disagreed with the ASA decision, saying that most Germans would find the phrase offensive.

An Embassy spokeswoman said: "It is not a very nice name and it is certainly not nice to be called a name related to cabbage.

"I think over time the word has attracted very negative connotations, so most people would be offended by it."

And Cultural attache Tilman Hancker added: "Speaking personally I would be offended to be called it and I think most people would not find it a very nice name."

I am not trying to derail the thread. The only ****ing context I know is that the closer you go back in history toward WWII the more the they were prejudice against Germans. If you are so worried about this thread than ****ing delete the shot Batloard said to me.
