If I had to pick an album that best represented the purity of thrash metal than I would probably go with Slayer's Reign in Blood, but if I had to pick an album that was a historically groundbreaking & the flagship album for the era, I would go with Master of Puppets, even though I'm much more bullish on Kill Em All.

I need to listen to more Sacrifice, but I definitely remember liking them way more than I ever liked Voivod. Razor are ****ing amazing though. And Exciter are definitely also amazing. "Heavy Metal Maniac" is one of my all-time fav metal anthems. And don't forget Annihilator. First two albums **** on Voivod as well.

Wait, isn't Slaughter (not the glam band) Canadian? Voivod's stock continues to fall.
