Someone voted Dag Nasty. I never thought of them as post hardcore, but since someone else put them down...
Dag Nasty Jesus Lizard and....hmmm.... lets see, I don't like Fugazi, or any of that newer A day to Remember Stuff, Pierce the Veil stuff. Alexisonfire? no ?, At the Drive in? no. Girls Against Boys? no. Jawbreaker? no. Quicksand? no. Helmet? no. Big Black? no. Drive like Jehu? no. Thursday? no. Rites of Spring, no. My Chemical Romance is post hardcore??? anyways, no. No Means No, maaayyyyyyyybe, nahhhhhh, no. Man there has to be more than two post hardcore bands out there that I like. I'm not even sure what the genre means anymore. In my time it meant more mature hardcore punk bands that used off beat sounds and time signatures in their music. Is that still what it means? |

I'd venture to say we live in a post-rock era.
