And you also get joke tags on last.fm, like Justin Bieber being black metal and hip hop, which are the fourth and fifth tags. So you can't really say that last.fm is reliable, as it doesn't really seem to have any moderation. Unlike Wikipedia.

This too. That's more what my point was leading up to.

We have tags too. I like to consider them as true as possible. Our moderation team takes them very seriously.

To be fair, I'm sure almost no one would vote for justin bieber on anything here. And if Last.fm doesn't take a hold of that, that's something they should do. But the fact behind that is the "black metal" tag is clearly a joke tag. Wikis are supposed to be official and at the same time just be something anything people can tag whether or not they believe they are right. Besides, I've seen less problems on Last.fm than on wikis.

Bottom line is I'm not changing it. This is how it's been since the get-go.

Nothing but serious business around here.

I especially the love "**** abe lincoln" tag. So many possibilities for what that could entail.

Joke tags are an extreme example but if "black metal" is allowed to stay on Justin Bieber's page then how do you know less obvious incorrect tags don't stay in? Open your mind to evidence, bro.

It's a lost cause at this point even though almost everyone who enjoys music uses wiki as a reliable source.

@Bat Because so far, the only one consistenly posting joke votes is Nea. Plus, there's been plenty of discussion on how "a big four is supposed to represent the four most influential acts" so people take this somewhat seriousl;y, or at least their own votes.

As far as I'm concerned, Bieber's black metal tag is as offical as all those 10/1 reviews for Cory in the House on the DS. I don't think anyone's going to vote him for black metal. Plus, we already had a black metal round.

@Ki Using very innacurate sources as an official source is part of the cause that other wikis are unofficial. Most people can't tell one genre tag fropm another.
