JGuy Grungeman,
Before I point something out about the Bebop noms, I wanted to make two retractions. It wouldn't be right for me to point out something that is an error, when I made a few error myself. I just wanted to clear a few things up, and then leave it at that.

OK, I didn't not get this quote from an ending of Criminal Minds. I thought it would sound more credible to Terrapin_Station if I attributed that someone famous or semi-famous. I am 75% certain there is no one named Ichbal related to Mahatma Ghandi, and almost 99% certain he didn't say that.

I shouldn't had said that. That's a bit pretentious to think my contribution to this thread will make it the best thread of 2016. My nominations are no better than anyone else's, and I apologize to everyone in this thread.

OK. I do not have a clue why I am accused of voting for non-Bebop musicians. Not a clue. Even though I am a bit perplexed from such allegations and slightly curious to know why you thought that/said that. I will not ask. I'll just cite my reference and leave it at that.

Jazz Guitar Greats: Jazz Guitarists That Made History

Charlie Christian is seen as the founding father of bebop guitar

Such players include Tal Farlow, a pioneer of bebop guitar, who is known to play fast lines and chord melody.

Montgomery came up with powerful techniques such as his legendary octave playing and exquisite lines in his solos that would make him one of the most influential bebop guitarist of all time.

Barney Kessel is particularly known as a bebop guitar player and for his jazz trios. Born in 1923 he started his career by playing in big bands, like the one of Artie Shaw. - See more at: Bebop Jazz Guitar Licks: Barney Kessel

Yes, you do know why. I've said it plenty of times, and I'm getting a boit tired of it so this will be the last time I will say it. After this, I won't be a part of any further discussion regarding this situation as it's already too late to change the vote so I see no reason why you need to bad-talk me as if I was the one who went above the rules, intentionally or not.

The music websites I checked did not label them as bebop, so they were not eligible. It's too late to make the change, so please do not discuss it any further or assume I was unfair to you. Even iof your vote was elligible, all of those votes had one or two votes including yours so there's no reason to change it. Please just deal with it.

Now that that's out of the way, what will we tackle after stoner rock next week? I forget who brought up synth pop, but that might be a good idea. I know it's a bit soon to do an electronic one after trip hop, but like I said, I should be a little less strict about the decisions with genres.

Can we do one that already has a big four like prog or thrash?

Batlord did ask for a thrash one a while back, so I wouldn't mind doing thrash.

He doesn't consider bands and artists to be the same thing.

He thinks artists are stories of legend. Right up there with dragons.
