If your list of four don't include any that was mention within that article then it isn't credible but yeah you can vote however you like.

So my list contains Big Daddy Kane, Digable Planets and Tuff Crew that don't appear in that list. So they are not credible hip hop acts during the so called Golden Age of Hip Hop? I also like A Tribe Called Quest but I went with Digable Planets instead. Just the other day I was wishing Micco was still active cause I wanted his opinion. I am glad you showed cause wanted some feedback on my list

I'm not saying they aren't credible but that list on wikipedia is pretty official. I agree with Eric B. & Rakim but Tuff Crew and Big Daddy Kane I would pass on.

Tuff Crew and Big Daddy Kane are definitely "golden age" artists. What period would you put them instead, then?

No, I am not saying they aren't golden age artists. I'm just saying that I don't feel their impact was as big as most of the other artists that were named.

I think TS mentioned that they were voting based on personal favourites that also have some influence as opposed to voting for who is the most influential.

Oh, well, I think people are primarily voting for their favorites. That's definitely what I'm doing, although I am also trying to limit it to people who had some influence . . . though if we were doing a category where I really loved someone who was completely obscure, I'd probably list them as one of my choices anyway.

For example, though, for golden age hip-hop artists, I went for Ice Cube instead of NWA. I think NWA was probably more influential, but I like solo Ice Cube more than NWA. Also, I voted for Geto Boys and not for Wu Tang Clan. There's no way Geto Boys were more influential than WTC, but I like Geto Boys more (even though I like Wu Tang Clan, too).

OK, I might regret this later, but I going to replace Big Daddy Kane with Ultramagnetic MCs. OK I kinda like the way the list looks, cause it a bit of a mix of hip hop styles during the GAOHH.

Okay got it. Didn't know that is how the thread was going. All of my votes have been 90% influential and like maybe 10% favorite.
