Default Does music have more positive or negative effects?

I was just wondering, which is it? Is music like drugs or is subjective or something like that?

I'm being serious. I want a discussion. Someone said that music has an effect like drugs, but I think it's more comparable to the sense that people get when doing something productive in general such as exercise or poetry.

Why don't you elaborate a little.
"It's like drugs or something or possibly not" isn't really discussion material.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure all the people that claim it works is just a mind over matter type of thing. I tried it and nothing happened.
