1987 was hardly a great year for music.
The only truly amazing release that comes to mind is Thinking Plague's Moonsongs.

I'll agree '87 wasn't the greatest years but you still had two Smiths albums, You're Living All Over me from Dinosaur Jr., and Sister from Sonic Youth. Not to mention Children of God from Swans.
