Default Albums that are influential/innovative/good

Hi everyone.

I'm looking to increase my knowledge of music, especially of the past decade, I want to get a sense of the rise and fall of artists and genres and what music has been doing whilst I've only payed attention to those few things in those even fewer niches I really like.

To that end I'd like to hear what albums you consider to be influential (so I can learn what has created most recent trends) innovative (to learn where new ideas have come from and what is being done on the cutting edge) and last but not least GOOD! (basically so it's listenable)

I know endless debates about what is good or innovative etc can be had, hell, you can even argue what those very words mean! But regardless, please list any and all albums that you think qualify as good examples of the traits I mention. If you can think of albums that are quite arguably all 3, so much the better.

Finally as I mentioned above the focus is on recent music BUT I will not say no to a good suggestion that's older, especially if you make a convincing case as to why it's worth listening to.

Thanks guys!

Is this forum nothing but an echo chamber for snarky jerks who should do something better with their time? I intentionally did not specify genres because I wanted to let people approach the question however they wanted.

Instead of arguing about that, I'll actually name a few albums.
All among my favourites and all highly influential, albeit some in somewhat obscure niches.
I'm afraid they are mostly pretty old. While music nowadays isn't worse than it used to be, it's way too fragmented to really make out influential albums.

Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band ‎– Trout Mask Replica
Henry Cow - Legend
Magma ‎– Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh
Massacre - Killing Time
Can - Monster Movie
Pere Ubu - The Modern Dance
This Heat - This Heat
Naled City - Naked City
Ornette Coleman - The Shape Of Jazz To Come
Peter Brötzmann - Machine Gun
Burzum - Filosofem
King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King
Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden
Talking Heads - Remain In Light
Miled Davis - Bitches Brew
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Lou Reed - Metal Machine Music
Roxy Music - Roxy Music
Throbbing Gristle - The Second Annual Report
Suicide - Suicide
T. Rex - Electric Warrior
Einstürzende Neubauten - Halber Mensch
Television - Marquee Moon
Manuel Göttsching - E2-E4
Hanatarashi - Hanatarashi
Harry Partch - Delusion Of The Fury

Even though I don't like them as much, I think that Deceit and Transformer are both more influential than those two albums.

Ignore everyone here, Dirty Sprite 2 by Future is what you're looking for.

I really came on board late with Future but he really is something special. I think though he's one of the last voices of signicance in hip hop though. And I still say Earl has been given the final last words.

I like This Heat and Deceit pretty much equally. Both are masterpieces and actually kinda difficult to separate from each other historically.
I've got to admit that I haven't listened to other Lou Reed albums in years. Might be time to give Transformer another chance.

I really don't like Lou Reed a whole lot. So I'm not going to say I'm an expert on the subject. But I was under the impression that album was considered to be his ****tiest album.
