Default Best Albums of 2016

Alright MB, here we are in June already, and as the official half way point in the year, I think it's time we share our favourite releases from the first half of 2016. This is a good way to catch up on anything that some of us may have missed throughout what has (in my opinion) been a pretty decent year for music releases so far. I'll go ahead and kick it off with my top 10 from the first 6 months of the year.

10. Entropia - Ufonaut
9. Rome Fortune - Jerome Raheem Fortune
8. Chance the Rapper - Coloring Book
7. Ty Segall - Emotional Mugger
6. The Body - No One Deserves Happiness
5. Anderson .Paak - Malibu
4. Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
3. Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
2. Vektor - Terminal Redux
1. David Bowie - Blackstar

I have a very strong feeling both the new Swans and Nails albums will end up in my top 10 of the year. Everything released from both groups in terms of singles and teasers have been fantastic, not to mention they both have incredible catalogues up to this point in their career.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

8. Mark Korven - The Witch
9. Dernière Volonté - Prie pour moi
10. Aluk Todolo - Voix
11. Youth Code - Commitment to Complications

the Youth Code and Aluk Todolo are really a tie....i seriously could not decide between the two albums

2. The Sad Bastard Book Club - And the Sirens Sang of a Time When There Were No Foghorns
3. Lush - Blind Spot

Great list bob. The only albums I'm familiar with are those by The Body, Xiu Xiu and the OST for The VVitch, all of which I loved.

UXO and Tacocat have been in my queue for quite some time now, so I think it's about time I finally give them a listen!

This stuff is hard nowadays for me since being banned from RYM. I'll post mine later. But I'll be downloading quite a lot of them.
