i thought it was pretty mediocre as well. with that being said i don't think Bright Eyes ever came close to an album the quality of IWAIM again so i can understand.

okay it is hard to argue that IWAIM isn't the best thing Oberst has ever done, though sometimes I lean more towards fevers and mirrors. but those records along with cassadaga, lifted, and letting off the happiness blow his last two solo records completely out of the water in every possible way. I feel like he's pretty much phoning it in at this point.
