Prog rock is my go-to place for cool lyrics. Nearly everything done by Steven Wilson is pure literature. If you want something more obscurely cool then loser by Beck is your best bet, he practically just came up with the lyrics as he look around the kitchen IIRC. I tends to also enjoy music that incorporates story into the lyrics, that's just fantastic. Hotel California, bohemian rhapsody etc. Being Asian, you have the advanta ge of getting to absorb the lyrics from other cultures that could allow you to delve into a different kind of subject matter you never know before. Something like this:
The Rube - I'm sorry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQbO1bDRTPA The lyric explore the sorrow of the main protagonist of the epic poem Ramayana as he was forced to have his wife walk through flames. This was done as prove of her purity after being in captivity of the antagonist, the king of the Giants, for so long. It's kinda like mario testing peachs purity after being rescued from bowser. |
