Most Unlikely/Contrasting Fusions ( What works and what doesn't?)

What are some of the most ridiculous genre fusions you've heard? I'm not think about certain avant-garde artists that smash all kinds of different genres into all their songs (Dog Fashion Disco etc), but rather artists that take a radical fusion of something and something and focus on that.

Melt-Banana do J-pop, noise rock, and grindcore, and it comes out amazing. Igorrr fuses breakcore, classical/jazz, and extreme metal, also amazing. Le Scrawl are a grindcore band that also play ska and lounge into their sound, it's a bit more forced, the first two I mentioned make it sound natural. World's End Girlfriend is one of the most breathtaking with a fusion of IDM/breakcore, post rock, and certain classical elements.

Babymetal mixes metal and jpop and it absolutely does not work. That's all I've got for now.

Zombieflesheater mix breakcore and reggae/dub. Works well.

Blood Stain Child (love it). Mix of Melodic Death Metal (my favorite genre) and electronic or house music, or whatever since I'm bad with non-rock genres.
