Movies with a (Rock) music theme
I'm currently on a watching spree of music videos, rockumentaries and rock-related movies, 80's type stuff preferred, looking for more.
The videos and concert footage are not a problem, just found a 2 VHS set of A Year in the Life of Metallica at the thrift shop, but the movies seem to be a little thin on the ground. Went through Wayne's World - a classic, Wayne's World 2 - typical lame sequel, but there's Kim Basinger, so it's ok, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure - doesn't have much to do with music, except they pretend to be in a band and the movie was much worse than I remembered it to be, Strange Frequency - a Tales from the Crypt-type series of horror shorts with a rock theme, pretty cool, Tommy Lee goes to College - a must have for Crüe fans as well as fans of hot blonde tutors, and even descended into the depths of Rock of Love - a trailer park version of The Bachelor with Bret Michaels and a bunch of skanks. Couldn't finish School of Rock, that was a little too dumb for my taste. Any recommendations? Quality is appreciated, but is, of course, a matter of taste...... |
