Only a few days left till the start. At least the weather is fantastic here in Stockholm at the moment. Quite warm and sunny.
Neat that Eurovision will be shown in the US live for the first time. Perhaps they will participate as well one day For now, it is sunny and time to go out to enjoy the crossing signals (They play Loreens "Euphoria" when you are waiting and "Heroes" when you cross ) |

I'm not sure how I feel about Australia being in Eurovision, and making it to the finals. "Our" song is neither great nor bad by Eurovision standards. I suppose I am supposed to feel a sort of patriotic pride in it, but let's face it, the bar is set pretty low. Sure there have been some great songs in Eurovision, but there were also some real shockers, including some of the winners. "Save your Kisses For Me", anyone?
Wouldn't it be a hoot though if Australia won the thing and got to host the next one? That would make the "Euro" prefix, which seems to have been problematic for some time now, look even sillier. Last edited by bob_32_116; 05-14-2016 at 06:06 AM. |
