yes in any case. it doesn't have to be dramatic, but I don't see the integrity in churning out too much of the same thing

Good music is good entertainment and vice versa. An example would be the Beatles. And they sure changed over the years. They were good in the beginning and they got still better (for the most part) when they changed.

Hm good point, but. Why, why, why, and why?

Also my opinion is of course an artist should change over time, it'd get boring to hear artists do the same goddamn thing over and over and never explore in other areas.
