Default Interested in Community Project? - Introduction to Regional Music

I'm interested in starting a community project that involves constructing a compilation of 20 or so songs representative of a specific country. It's basically meant to give a basic, overall summary of the music, along with some brief description, that is developed in the country's history, from past to present for people whom are interested in learning about music in different cultures.

For example, let's say we work on Japan: It would include roughly 5 folk songs, 5 classical and theater songs, 5 early popular songs and 5 modern pop/rock/hip-hop songs.

Anyone interested?
