I'm voting off Station To Station by the slightest of whiskers. The marvellous title track, plus Golden Years and the beautiful Wild Is The Wind will be sad to see going but Low's overall sweeping, soaring stylish music clinches this for me.
An incredibly difficult decision. |

Let's start with round four then.
Let’s Dance (1983) Tonight (1984) Never Let Me Down (1987) Tin Machine (1989) Tin Machine II (1991) Vote one off by the end of the week. I've heard and kinda liked Tin Machine. Never heard the others, being intimidated by their reputation for being terrible. Preparing myself to endure some painful 80s cheese.

Revisiting all these albums recently I found Tin Machine stands up really well surprisingly. TMII I had never heard before and it's also pretty good (but more about those later).
Never Let Me Down is actually a good, solid rock album and Let's Dance we know about. So despite containing the fabulous Loving The Alien, off goes Tonight for me. There's little else on there to get excited about tbh. |

One of these things is not like the others.

Only leaving my earlier post for future reference, but after re-listening to all of these albums, I think I've come up with the least conventional list ever conceived. I mean, nothing crazy, but still. I must say that all of these albums are definitely more enjoyable than I remember. However, this time I'm gonna vote off IMO David Bowie's least inspired album of the 80s, Never Let Me Down. The rest all just have a bit more going for them to me.

None of these are great albums, but I like Tin Machine's sound. The other three are all pretty crappy if I'm being honest, but Let's Dance has "Modern Love" and Tonight has "Loving the Alien," whereas the only memorable track on Never Let Me Down is "Glass Spider," and that's not a good thing.
Off goes Never Let Me Down.
