Some interesting notes on the structure of Aladdin Sane here.

@grindy To give a small hint: Trollheart would recognize the line, though also not from the original source. Let me know when you want me to just tell you.

Also, was you post above picking on Diamond Dogs also a vote against it? (I want to keep track too, just for kicks and giggles.)
Well...?

Whoops sorry.

The Original

@4:13 in Aladdin Sane.

Where Troll has heard it. Near the end of the song.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

I know it from the George Benson version.

Also in reference to a thread I started asking about the structure of Pink Floyd's The Nile Song the chord change used is apparently called the truck drivers gear change somewhat sarcastically as it is kind of takes the song up a gear. On Broadway does it about four times if I'm not mistaken. At least the George Benson version does.

Another edit: it does gear change in the original Drifters song. It's 3 times not 4 though.

Diamond Dogs is gone.

Vote one off by the end of the week:
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1972)
Aladdin Sane (1973)

I go with Aladdin Sane, but it really pains me to do this. One of my favourite Bowie albums. I guess it's good to practise making hard decisions considering the next round.

I'm voting Ziggy . If for no other reason then because I'm sure Aladdin Sane will be the clear loser this week.

Aladdin Sane. You'll always be the one for me though, DD.

It's a close one for me, but Aladdin Sane loses out this time.
